TEHRAN- The managing director of Iran’s National Petrochemical Company (NOC) said the country’s polymer production capacity is planned to reach 16 million tons.

Addressing the unveiling ceremony of the Petrochemical Products Technical Specifications System (Samap), held concurrently with the third day of the Iran Plast International Exhibition, Hassan Abbaszadeh stated: The production capacity of the country's polymer products is nearly nine million tons, and according to plans, by the end of the Seventh National Development Plan, this production capacity will reach 16 million tons.

The official also referred to the statements of the Leader of the Islamic Revolution and reiterated that holding exhibitions and similar actions demonstrate the necessity of increasing activities in the fields of production and economy.
